La Salle knocks out Kings
- Updated: November 9, 2024

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The La Salle Lancers are moving on to regional semifinals after an impressive home victory over Kings in a second round OHSAA Division II, Region 8 matchup at Lancer Stadium.
La Salle got out of the gate fast with 21 first quarter points, but Kings wouldn’t go away. The home team got the ball first and scored in under three minutes.
Pat McLaughlin threw for three first half scores and ran for another. Two of those TD passes were pulled in by Brady O’Connor, who was a force on both sides of the ball.
Like always, Kings kept fighting and scored on a trick play of sorts from 50 yards out just before the half cut the lead to 28-14.
The Knights cut it to 28-21 with an early third-quarter rushing touchdown, but couldn’t get any closer.
With the win La Salle advances to next week’s regional semifinal vs. Harrison.
