East leans on Hooks in win

Ryder Hooks amassed 373 all purpose yards and 4 touchdowns to power the Lakota East Thunderhawks to a road win over Centerville on Friday Night. The senior tailback was essentially impossible to stop all night as the he gashed the Elks defense time after time to lead his team to victory.

Hooks rushed for 289 yards and three scores on the ground including a 70-yard jolt for his biggest play of the night. As a receiver Hooks caught four balls for 84 yards including a 64-yard swing pass for a score. Quarterback Nile Knutson had a great game in his first start going 22/29 for 290 yards and 3 touchdowns. Carter Jones (7REC, 63YDS) and Patrick MacFarlane (6 REC, 76YDS) also both had receiving touchdowns for the Thunderhawks who will begin GMC play next week.

 

Defensively East was paced by Dawson Reip who tallied 13 tackles. Centerville’s Parker Johnson rushed 23 times for 153 yards and three scores to lead the effort for the Elks in the loss.
