CINCINNATI, Ohio – After being Withrow 39-0 in a Saturday matinee the Taft Senators moved to 6-0 for the first time in school history.
A year ago, Withrow beat Taft, 19-14, in Week 6, for its first win of the season. The Tigers are 11-2 since that victory. This is the first time the Senators have come out on top versus their CMAC rivals since 2021.
ICYMI: Taft head Tyler Williams on ESPN 1530’s High School Football Tonight:
Senior running back Nijia Hill ran for a pair of scores and caught another TD to help lead the Senators’ offensive attack.
Kevontae Whipple delivered the special team’s highlight of the day when he blocked a punt in the final frame and returned it for a touchdown.
Withrow falls to 4-2 with the loss and will look to bounce back next as they welcome a winless Woodward team in Week 7. Taft is set to host Hughes.
