Out to prove last season that last season’s run to the OHSAA Division V, Region 20 semifinals wasn’t a fluke, Carlisle is ready to prove that it is going to be a force for years to come under third year head coach Josh Koogle. The Indians have lost a ton of experience in the trenches and leadership due to graduation but like all good programs, it is time for “next man up.”
Staying on top won’t be easy having to fill six voids on both sides of the ball. On offense, junior running back Alex Collins has committed to shouldering a heavy workload again after putting on 30 pounds of muscle this offseason. He ran for more than 110 yards on eight occasions in his varsity debut last fall. Also suiting up for Friday nights for a first time in 2025, Trent Snodgrass showed he was no slouch carrying the football and at linebacker as well.
Defensively, the Indians are rock solid at linebacker and in the secondary with the likes of Snodgrass, Jake Fox, Luke Langdon and Michael-Anthony Lista all returning. The d-line will have plenty of new faces. If this position group plays with tenacity and hunger good things are going to happen once again for Carlisle.
