The Princeton Vikings have been voted the Week 1 Gold Star Team of the Week after opening the 2026 season with an impressive 31-24 victory over Moeller.
Princeton earned 29.43 percent of the votes cast by fans at TriStateFootball.com, edging out Simon Kenton and Fairfield in a competitive Week 1 race.
The Vikings earned their spot on the ballot after knocking off Moeller in one of the Tri-State’s biggest opening-week results. Princeton rallied behind a big performance from Jordan Hall and the Vikings’ defense to secure the 31-24 victory.

Badin, CHCA, Covington Catholic, Elder, Fairfield, Indian Hill, New Richmond, Simon Kenton and West Clermont were also nominated following outstanding Week 1 performances.
As this week’s winner, Princeton will receive the Gold Star Team of the Week award, which will be presented to the Vikings in the near future courtesy of our friends at Gold Star.
