Ludlow jumped out to a three-touchdown halftime lead and never looked back, knocking off rival Bellevue 34-14 on Friday night.
Quarterback Miller Reed got the Panthers rolling with a 19-yard touchdown pass to Jaylen Stone in the first quarter, then broke loose for a 73-yard touchdown run early in the second. Reed found Stone again for a 15-yard score just before halftime to send Ludlow into the locker room leading 21-0.
Jayden Watson added a 1-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter to stretch the advantage to 28-0.
Bellevue finally broke through in the fourth on touchdown runs by Kayden Brown and Aidyn Fortner, cutting the deficit to 28-14. Stone then slammed the door with a 29-yard touchdown run, his third score of the night.
The victory improves Ludlow to 4-2 on the season, while Bellevue falls to 1-4.
