The McNicholas Rockets got a home win in front of a nice crowd against Withrow on Friday night. The Rockets amassed 318 total yards on the night to get a close 24-21 win. Evan Sandfoss through for 230 yards and two touchdowns in the win as he completed 63 percent of his passes. Conner Powderly caught both of those touchdown passes and Joseph Reuss accounted for 112 total yards. Zach Burkhardt led the rockets with 13 total tackles.
The Tigers lost their third straight close game after a 2-0 but were in the fight the entire night. Sa’Vion Davis was a leader for Withrow at quarterback and Dion Clardy had a nice game at the running back position. The Tigers will look to get back on track next week against Western Hills. McNick moves to 3-2 and will travel to Carrol in week six.
