The Lebanon Warriors erased a 14 point halftime deficit and came away with a thrilling home win over Little Miami on Friday night. After falling behind 21-7, the Warriors rallied to score 14 unanswered points in the third quarter to tie the ball game. The two teams exchanged touchdowns in the fourth which sent the game into overtime. In the extra frame after giving up a Little Miami touchdown, the Warriors completed a 16-yard touchdown pass from Mason Reed to Wyatt Lassen and after an offsides penalty on the extra point, decided to go for two and the win. Logan Schmenk had a 3 touchdown night for the Warriors at running back. He also converted the game winning conversion to seal things in over time.
Reed threw for 143 yards and the lone touchdown to Lassen and he also rushed for a team-high 47 yards on the ground in the win. Schmenk added 43 yards rushing and Jordan Foster had 3 catches for 79 yards to lead the receiving core. Hunter Adkins led Lebanon with 8 tackles on defense and Evan Gray forced a fumble and recovered it for an extra possession. Lebanon improves to 4-1 on the season while Little Miami dropped to 3-2. Both squads return to ECC action next week.
