Senior Salute: Elijah Cunningham

Inserted as the Springboro starting quarterback in Week 7 of his sophomore year, Elijah Cunningham took the role in grand fashion. The Panthers compiled a 22-6 record and made the playoff in all three of Cunningham’s seasons under center. As a senior all the hard work paid off for Elijah. Cunningham was named GWOC South offensive player of the year after throwing for 2,990 yards, running for 435 more yards and accounting for 41 touchdowns (33 passing, eight rushing).

Committed to Bowling Green, Cunningham finished his Springboro career with 6,154 yards through the air, 67 passing touchdowns, 881 yards rushing and 16 scores on the ground. He threw two touchdown passes or more in a game 21 times and three or more on 12 occasions. Cunningham threw for 200 yards or more in 18 of his 28 starts.
