GMC to add league game
- Updated: February 5, 2015

Starting in 2017 the Greater Miami Conference will add an eighth regular season league game head coaches Larry Cox of Lakota West and Tom Bolden at Colerain told TriStateFootball.com Wednesday afternoon. The current schedule has each GMC school playing seven of their nine league foes with two preseason scrimmage contest versus the two squads they don’t face in Weeks 1-10.
Some of the GMC schools have long term contracts with non-conference teams. The OHSAA is not going to pose any sanctions if they have to pull out of those future affairs Cox informed TSF.
Bolden was elated knowing that he basically only has to schedule one game a year. The Skyline Crosstown Showdown game will be one that Tom Gamble and his crew at In-game Sports will chose to start each season for the Cardinals.
The addition of the league game will mean non-conference games decrease from 30 to 20 in ‘2017. In 2014 GMC schools went a combined 14-16 in non-conference play. Eight of those games were against ECC schools, four were versus GCL South squads, four more with GWOC schools and three against Winton Woods.
