Saturday Roundup: Cincinnati – Week 2

Bishop Fenwick (2-0) is for real as they took down Mount Healthy, 16-8. For a second straight week the Division IV Falcons knocked off a Division II squad on the road. Fenwick dominated the line of scrimmage before a long lightning delay in the third quarter slowed down their quest for victory.

The Falcons managed to hold Mount Healthy star quarterback David Montgomery in check, allowing him to run for just 43 yards. It was his lowest rushing total in more than a year (14 games). Montgomery did throw for 134 yards and scored the Owls only touchdown, but it came with just over three minutes left in the contest.

Michael Sheridan ran for a game-high 120 yards and a touchdown for Fenwick. The Falcons’ defense was superb as they limited Mount Healthy to just 3-of-14 on third-down conversions. Ben Hinton had two of the team’s three sacks. Fenwick has given up just eight points on the season.

Oak Hills 31, Harrison 29 – Everyone thought this had the makings of an entertaining, high-scoring affair and they were right.
