Winton Woods blanks Elder

Winton Woods scored midway through the first and fourth quarters and held Elder to 161 yards in a 14-0 win on Friday.
Jalen Lumpkin broke an 88-yard touchdown run with 6:25 left in the first quarter to open the scoring. With 6:18 remaining, Zack Exalus caught a 25-yard TD from Kenny Mayberry to extend the Warriors’ lead.
Lumpkin rushed for 174 yards on 24 carries, and Mayberry added 80 ground yards on 18 rushes.
Peyton Ramsey was 9 of 26 passing for 114 yards for the Panthers, and Nick Hall caught five of those passes for 76 yards.
Winton Woods more than doubled Elder’s yardage total, gaining 381 yards.
The Warriors are at La Salle next week while the Panthers host DePaul Jesuit (N.J.).
