Powell, Pioneers pace All-NKFCA squad

Simon Kenton went to the Class 6A final four and set a school record in wins in going 13-1. The top Pioneers we rewarded with their efforts by being named to the 2015 All-Northern Kentucky Team. Star running back Dillon Powell was also named the NKAC Division IA player of the year. Powell led Simon Kenton with 1,780 and 23 touchdowns rushing.

Covington Catholic’s Cam Pitzered garnered NKAC Division IB player of the year. Defensive lineman Maleek Lawrence of Newport Central Catholic took home the NKAC Division II player of the year hardware. Beechwood’s “Mr. Everything” Brett Slusher earned the NKAC Division IB player of the year award.
