Colerain runs all over Springboro

Colerain ran up 327 ground yards and overcame 12 penalties for 110 yards in a 35-14 win over Springboro in a first-round playoff game on Friday.
The Cardinals’ Monalo Caldwell rushed 20 times for 176 yards and three touchdowns, and Gunnar Leyendecker also reached triple digits, grinding out 102 rushing yards on 14 carries.
Leyendecker connected with Javon Hicks for a 28-yard TD to open the scoring for Colerain, and Leyendecker would find Deante Smith-Moore for a 23-yard score to make it 14-0.
Springboro cut the deficit to seven, but Caldwell ran off three straight touchdowns to put it out of reach.
Nick Kovacs caught 13 passes for 137 yards to pace the Panthers.
