- Updated: September 2, 2017
It was a day to remember on Saturday for the Roger Bacon Spartans as freshman Corey Kiner set the single-game school record by rushing for 302 yards and five touchdowns.
In total Roger Bacon (2-0) racked up 443 yards on the ground and registered 21 first downs to and held Western Hills to just four first downs of their own in a 47-12 run-away victory.
Western Hills (0-2) scored in the game’s first minute when Kayen Britten scored on a 60-yard rushing touchdown.
The Spartans responded quickly less than minutes on Kiner’s first touchdown, a six-yard run. Roger Bacon scored five more times on their way to 40 first-half points to put the game away.
