Chaminade-Julienne scores late to defeat Badin
- Updated: October 20, 2017
The magical season for Chaminade-Julienne continued with a, 24-22, win over Badin Friday night at home.
The Eagles hit a field goal in the fourth quarter to win their seventh straight game. Senior quarterback Ryan Peltier threw for 210 yards and had two rushing touchdowns. Senior running back Jonathan Bell had the other touchdown. This is the third straight game Bell scored a rushing touchdown.
Junior receiver Colin Dowling had his best game of the season, leading the team with 95 yards.
The Eagles only gained 267 yards but it was enough to continue the win streak, and stay undefeated in the division.
Next week Chaminade-Julienne will play for the GCL North division as they play Alter. Both teams are 6-0 in the conference so winner of the matchup will be the division champion. Despite next week’s outcome the Eagles season will continue into the playoffs. And next week’s game will help with the seeding.
Badin has lost two straight and lost three of last four games.
RECORDS: Badin (5-4), Chaminade-Julienne (7-2)
UP NEXT: Badin visits McNicholas (5-4); Chaminade Julienne at Alter (8-1)
