Just about everyone took care of business. The hierarchy of leagues is starting to fall into place. The GCL South title could be determined this weekend while. A pair of ranked schools get a shot at dethroning Colerain’s reign over the GMC over the next two Friday’s. Moving forward, the final three weeks of the seasons are loaded with some amazing contests. Brace yourselves for a fantastic finish.

Here is a look at how things are shaping up after Week 6:

RANKINGS – OHIO DI
The deck has been shuffled. There are three newcomers to this week’s ranking and one of them, No. 8 Lakota East gets the unenviable task of trying to be the first GMC team to win at No. 2 Colerain in the 21st century this Friday. The area’s longest winning streak belongs to No. 1 St. Xavier at 12 and counting. There are three games versus ranked squads on Friday night. Looks like more shake ups for next week’s poll…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DII-DIII
It was a rare week where every team in the rankings won. The poll remains unchanged but there are plenty of teams knocking of the door to get in into the Top 10. Six teams in the rankings have perfect records including No. 10 Goshen whose next four opponents are a combined 19-5. The Warriors first six foes are a combined 9-28. A tall order lies ahead for No. 3 La Salle who is at Ohio Division I No. St. Xavier…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DIV-DVII
Nine of the teams in our rankings were victorious last weekend. Newcomer No. 10 Brookville churned out 546 yards rushing including 334 by senior star Bailey Wallen in last Thursday’s shootout win over Oakwood. The combined record of teams that No. 8 Fenwick has faced (including Friday’s matchup with McNicholas) is 25-10…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – NKY
The poll remains the same from a week ago. Only five ranked teams were in action and they all won. This week No.1 Covington Catholic gets a stiff challenge versus Bishop Chatard who lost by a point to Ohio Division II-III No.1 Winton Woods last Friday. Two intriguing battles to keep an eye on are No. 8 Scott hosting Ohio Division IV-VII No.7 Taft and No. 6 Conner entertaining No.5 Campbell County…COMPLETE RANKINGS
