Unbeaten regular season for CovCath

Casey McGinness scored three touchdowns as Covington Catholic ran off the first 42 points in a 49-13 win over Campbell County on Friday to complete its first undefeated regular season since 1992.

McGinness finished with 77 rushing yards on 15 carries as nine different Colonels carried the ball.

The Camels’ Alex Dowds led all rushers with 130 yards, and he scored both of his team’s touchdowns.

Both teams will host first-round playoff games next week. CovCath’s opponent is TBA, and Campbell County will face Louisville Eastern.
