Roden Leaves East Central for Noblesville
- Updated: April 16, 2018

East Central head coach Justin Roden has accepted the same position at Noblesville High School pending board approval on Wednesday night. Roden informed the press of the move on Tuesday morning. He compiled a 47-20 record in five years at East Central. He led The Tigers to the Indiana Class 4A championship last season. It was the second title in program history (1994).
Roden’s career got off to a slow start at East Central. The Trojans went a combined 4-10 in their first 14 games under him. Since that point, East Central has gone 43-10 with 17 of those victories being in the playoffs. East Central has won regional titles in each the last three years. They will a favorite for another state championship in 2019.
Noblesville will be a resurrection project for Roden. The Class 6A Millers finished 1-9 last fall. They haven’t had a season above .500 since 2001. A member of the Hoosier Crossroads Conference, Noblesville has won just two regional titles with the last being in 2000.
