Northern Kentucky: 2018 Active Leaders

In Northern Kentucky, it is running backs rule the roost when it comes to proven and productive players heading into 2018. There are 10 backs that head into the season with at least 1,200 yards rushing during their careers.

Even though he is expected to play linebacker at the next level Newport Central Catholic star, Kyle Kelly has followed in the footsteps of his father and brothers running the ball for the Thoroughbreds. “He might just be the best of all of them,” former head coach Dan Wagner said of Kelly, the last member of the clan to suit up for NewCath. The -foot-2, 200 pound Kelly has offers from Ball State, Eastern Michigan, Ohio, Eastern Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, Mercer, Southern Illinois and Fordham.
