Camels all Jolly in opener

EDGEWOOD, kentucky – What a way to start the senior year of high school for twins Grant and Reid Jolly. Grant scored the first of what would be four touchdowns in a row by the brothers in a 34-3 rout of Dixie Heights. The Camels victory was the first for their new head coach Mike Woolf. Woolf, who has been a staple in Northern Kentucky coaching scene as an assistant for more than two decades, couldn’t be happier that the Jolly boys were a big part of his first win.

Reid Jolly stole the show and solidified victory and fate of Dixie Heights. He hauled in a pair of catches off the arm of classmate Andrew Helton and turned them into 75 and 73-yard touchdowns, during a 2:11 stretch that took the wind out of the Colonels sails, right before halftime. Helton would connect with Jolly one more time after intermission for the games only score in the second half. When the dust settled Reid Jolly would have six receptions for 203 yards and the three scores. Brother Grant added 86 yards on the ground for the victors.

As for Helton, it was the first four scoring tosses of his career. He finished with 338 yards passing.
