Rosemeyer, O-line shine in East Central victory

ST. LEON, Indiana – Despite running just 36 plays on offense, East Central showed how dominate in a 38-7 win over rival Lawrenceburg. The Trojans looked like a team that was up to the challenge of defending their IHSAA Class 4A state title.
East Central averaged 11.2 yards per carry, churning out 291 yards on 26 totes. Senior Eric Rosemeyer ran for 196 yards on 11 carries including a 48-yard touchdown scamper. Classmate Alex Maxwell found the end zone three time and finished with 57 yards on the ground.

Lawrenceburg won the time of possession battle by more than 17 minutes. The Tigers moved the ball between the 20’s with 342 yards of total offense. Freshman quarterback ran for 94 yards and threw for 87 more. Sophomore Adam Burd had a team high 102 yards rushing for the Tigers.
