Changes Boost New Richmond Past Wilmington

WILMINGTON, ohio – Sophomore Luke Lytle made his first start at quarterback and two-time SBAAC American Offensive Player of the Year, Josh Anderson moved from quarterback to running back for the new look New Richmond Lions. The moves paid big dividends as New Richmond racked up 498 yards of total offense in a shootout win over Wilmington. The Lions have now won five in a row since dropping their opener to Indian Hill.

Lytle hit four different receivers for touchdowns and finished the night 11-18 for 250 yards. He was also a perfect 7-7 on extra points attempts, Lytle is now tied with Anderson for the team lead in touchdown passes (five).

Anderson was just as spectacular carrying the ball 21 times for 223 yards and found the end zone three times. The senior now stands 163 yards from a third consecutive 1,000-yard season rushing.

Wilmington quarterback Brady Evans threw for 396 yards and three touchdowns. A trio of Hurricane receivers had big games. Cam Coomer hauled in seven receptions for 105 yards and two scores. Mason McIntosh reeled in eight catches for 105 yards. Ryan Camp caught eight balls for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
