Conner wins fourth straight, downs Lloyd

ERLANGER, Kentucky – The visiting Conner Cougars rallied from a halftime deficit to knock off the Lloyd Juggernauts, 34-22. It marked the fourth straight win and fifth overall the Cougars.

Conner got a huge night from quarterback Garrett Goghlan, who rushed for 170 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. His only completion on four attempts went for 38 yards.

Running back Christian Webster led the team with 23 attempts and finished with 124 yards and a TD of his own.

The Cougars put the away the game late as Emmanuel Merkel came up with a pick-six on an 80-yard interception return. Clayton Boyd led all defenders with 13 tackles (5 solo) and also had a sack.

The loss snaps a three-game winning streak for Lloyd. The game marked the first of four home games for the Juggernauts over the final five regular-season contests.
