TSF Rankings Update: Week 6

The midterms are in. Several surprises get A’s – Highlands, Little Miami, Chaminade Julienne, Miamisburg and Purcell Marian just to name a few. Those teams are all hoping to finish just as fast as they started. Here’s what’s in store heading into Week 6 of the season:

RANKINGS – OHIO DI
It was #2 Moeller pulling off the big win versus #4 St. Xavier. The loss by the Bombers was its third of the season, all by six points or fewer. All four GCL South schools are pitted in league games on Friday. A one-point victory by #3 Springfield over #6 Fairfield in Week 2 is all that separates the two from being flip-flopped in the poll.… COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DII-DIII
No changes to the poll since last week. #6 Troy was the only team that lost and they did so to Division I #8 Miamisburg. Big games upcoming for #1 La Salle and #3 Winton Woods. Don’t be surprised if the top of the poll looks different seven days from now.… COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DIV-DVII
Shake ups at the bottom of the poll welcomes in two newcomers in #9 Purcell Marian and #10 Batavia. Both schools hope their appearance in the rankings isn’t short-lived. Purcell Marian takes on DII-III #4 Alter while Batavia faces their biggest road challenge at #2 Clinton-Massie. Three teams #1 Wyoming, #4 Taft and #7 Valley View all take on unbeaten foes this weekend. It looks like more shuffling in the upcoming poll…. COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – NKY
They’re back. The #2 Highlands Bluebirds had a very impressive victory over #3 Simon Kenton last Friday as they continued their ascent up the rankings. Highlands and #1 Covington Catholic are on a bye this Friday. We are just three weeks from the two squaring off in what is shaping up to be an epic battle. As for Simon Kenton, the Pioneers will host #5 Beechwood in northern Kentucky’s top matchup in Week 6…. COMPLETE RANKINGS
