Newport Central Catholic (3-5, 2-0) head coach Stephen Lickert talks with Greg Shoemaker of TriStateFootball.com and James Rapien of ESPN 1530 AM radio about his Thoroughbreds and their upcoming game against Class 2A, District 6 rival Newport Wildcats (5-3, 1-1). With a win over Newport the T’breds will be District champs. The combined record of the five teams that the NewCath has lost to is, 29-11.
Lickert is in his first season at Newport Central Catholic. He is in in his 15th season overall and had has compiled a 77-87 record to date.
