2020 TSF Indiana Team of the Year: Lawrenceburg

The train is rolling down the track at full steam with no signs of slowing down for our 2020 TriState Football Indiana Team of the Year, Lawrenceburg. For a second straight season and third time in the last four years, the Tigers fell to rival East Central in their opener then reeled off 11 straight wins to claim a sectional championship. This was the 20th sectional title for the program and its fourth in the last five campaigns.

Lawrenceburg got it done on both sides of the ball. The Tigers offense averaged 38.2 points per contest. Seven times in its last nine games Lawrenceburg posted 48 points or more. Defensively, the Tigers allowed 15.6 points per game. During their 11-game winning streak, Lawrenceburg gave up just 10.9 points per contest.

Under head coach Ryan Knigga the Tigers are a combined 88-33 in his 10 years. They have won five sectional titles and finished as the Class 3A state runner-up in 2016 under his tutelage.
