They are riding high at Wyoming and the horses aren’t heading for the stables any time soon. The Cowboys are currently on a 57-game regular season winning streak, the top streak in Ohio, in all divisions. They have gone unbeaten in the regular the last six years in a row and made the playoffs nine straight seasons. The experienced and deep senior class on this 2022 squad are a combined 35-3 in their careers with all three losses being to eventual state champions in the playoffs.

HONOR ROLL
CJ Hester, Sr, RB/DB – The reigning OPSWA Ohio Division IV Offensive Player of the Year. To earn those honors as a junior Hester ran for 2,484 yards, had 18 receptions for 170 yards, amassed 2,773 all-purpose yards with 40 touchdowns (35 rush, four rec, one FR). He was also named OPSWA First Team All-Ohio, Southwest District Offensive Player of the Year (for a second straight year), CHL Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All-TSF and TriState Football Cincinnati Offensive Player of the Year finalist. He has also wreaked havoc on defense with 118 total tackles and four takeaways (three FRs, one INT) in his career. Hester has committed to Western Michigan.

Joel Allen, Sr, OL/DL – The motor that moves the d-line. Allen played a major role for a Wyoming defense that held 10 of 13 opponents to nine points or less including five shutouts a year ago. He was in on 54 total tackles and nine sacks on his was way to OPSWA Division IV Second Team All-Ohio accolades for his work. Allen has an offer from Capital.
AJ Howard, Sr, OL/DL – The heart-and-soul of the Cowboys o-line who is also a factor on defense. Howard was named OPSWA Division IV Honorable Mention All-Ohio (OL) as a junior. He also has 42 total tackles and three sacks in his career.
Tony Blair, Sr, TE/DL – Busted out in a big way in 2021. Blair was named Second Team All-CHL as a junior after tallying 62 total tackles, six-and-a-half sacks, with eight receptions for 107 yards and two touchdowns. He has an offer from Capital.
DJ Gray, Jr, RB/LB/ATH – Had an excellent varsity debut as a sophomore. Gray was in on 75 total tackles and recovered two fumbles. On offense, he ran for 260 yards, had seven receptions for 104 yards and found the end zone five times (three rush, two rec). Gray was named Second Team All-CHL (LB).
Quaid Hauer, Jr, QB/LB – An absolute beast at linebacker, Hauer added playing quarterback to his repertoire as a sophomore. He threw for 1,449 yards, with 14 touchdown passes and three rushing scores. On defense, Hauer recorded 94 total tackles, five sacks, had a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and three interceptions. He was named Second Team All-CHL. Hauer heads into his junior year with 150 total tackles and 11.0 sacks.
Matty Mitchell, Sr, WR/DB – The leader of the secondary who may also end up being the Cowboys number one option at receiver. Mitchell reeled in 11 receptions for 241 yards and three touchdowns, Defensively, he registered 54 total tackles with three interceptions including a pick-six against Norwood last fall. That effort garnered Mitchell Second Team All-CHL (DB) acclaim.
Will Svendsen, Sr, WR/DB – Should see his numbers increase on offense and opportunities to come up with turnovers on defense also rise this season. Svendsen had 18 receptions for 214 yards and 13 total tackles as a junior. He was named Second Team All-CHL (WR).
Deuce Wiley, Jr, DL – Took to Friday night lights like a fish to water as a sophomore. Wiley recorded 62 total tackles, had seven sacks and three takeaways (two FRs, one INT) on his way to an Honorable Mention All-CHL selection.
Jess Hauer, So, OL – The “pup” of the offensive line is on his way to becoming a “big dog” up front. Hauer was named Honorable Mention All-CHL as a freshman.
OTHER RETURNEES
Theo Davis, Sr, OL/DL – A valuable cog in the in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Davis was an Honorable Mention All-CHL selection as a sophomore and as a freshman.
Terrence Gragston II, Sr, LB – Emerged as a disruptive force on defense in 2021. Gragston II tallied 69 total tackles and had a fumble recovery.
Wyatt Metz, Sr, OL – Has been a huge part of paving the way for a Wyoming offense that has run for 75 touchdowns in 23 games over the past two years.
Coleman Jeffers, Sr, TE/LB – When healthy Jeffers can be a force in the middle of the Cowboys defense. He had 38 total tackles in nine games including 19 (nine solo) against Norwood as a junior.
Chazz Early, Sr, WR/DB – Will give the Cowboys quality snaps on both sides of the ball. Early has 24 total tackles, two interceptions, 214 all-purpose yards and a rushing touchdown in his career.
Sam Williams, Sr, OL/DL – A veteran presence who will find himself in the right place to make key plays this season.
Ben Adkins, Sr, WR – Looks to join the rotation amongst the receiving corp. Adkins should have some big moments this fall.
Jason Schwartz, Sr, TE – Was finding his groove when injuries sidelined him last fall. Schwartz had nine receptions for 99 yards and two touchdowns in seven tilts as a junior.
Javien Lampley, Sr, DL – Adds some great depth along the d-line. Lampley had 12 total tackles in six games as a junior.
MJ Green, Jr, DB – Came on late as a sophomore. Green should have a breakout 2022 campaign.

Wyoming has the #1 all-time winning percentage in Ohio High School football history. The program currently has 748 wins in its 103-year history. The Cowboys have won 37 conference championships, made 27 playoff appearances with seven regional titles, one state runner-up and two state titles.
