Wyoming runs over Roger Bacon

WYOMING, Ohio – Down by three heading into the third quarter, Wyoming erupted for 28 unanswered second half points to take down Roger Bacon. The Cowboys used a robust rushing attack to solidify their 10th win of the year. It is the 10th straight season that Wyoming has won at least 10 games and advanced past the first round of the playoffs.

Jackson Hamilton ran for 146 yards and two scores. It was the third consecutive contest that the senior has topped the 100-yard mark on the ground and fourth time in his last five starts. Junior Tyler Johnson-Huff added a career high 104 yards rushing and had a touchdown on the ground and another on a reception. The duo combined for 250 of Wyoming’s 267 yards on the ground.

Hamilton has been a beast averaging 149.7 yards per game, 9.7 yards per carry with eight touchdowns rushing over the last three contests. He and Johnson-Huff have each ran for 14 touchdowns on the season.

Johnson-Huff paced the defense with 14 tackles. Classmate Charlie Walker had a 65-yard pick-six to seal the Spartans fate with the game’s last score. Walker also had nine tackles.
