WHITELAND, Ind. – The outcome was never in doubt Friday night for the East Central Trojans in their Indiana Class 5A sectional title matchup with Whiteland. If anything, the outcome could have been expected.
East Central, on the road against Whiteland, put a 35-0 whitewash on the hosts and moved on to the regionals.
The Trojans set the tone of how the night was going to be early on, as Nyden Euson returned an interception 100 yards for East Central’s first score of the game.

The rout was on from there, as Colton Bellman would run for three straight scores to make it a 28-0 game, and Noah Maple would add to that tally with a touchdown run of his own in the third quarter that would conclude the scoring.
The victory gave the Trojans their fifth consecutive sectional crown, and 24th overall in school history.
East Central moves to 9-2 on the year and returns home to St. Leon next Friday, hosting undefeated New Palestine. Whiteland finishes their season at 9-3.
