Last year’s four victories were the most by Beavercreek since its last winning campaign back in 2017 (6-4). In the seven seasons sandwiched in between (2018-2024) the Beavers went a combined 12-60 (.167 winning %). The end to the Beavers’ futility may be near. Evidence of that may be found in last fall’s Week 9 triumph over rival and eventual regional runner-up, Wayne. With eight starters back on each side of the ball, The Creek appears to be well-positioned to expand on their limited success.
The triple option offense should be a well oiled machine with the return of last season’s leading rusher and scorer, Kellen Reeves along with seniors Calvin Svoboda and Trey Damigo. Both Svoboda and Damigo averaged more than eight yards per carry a year ago. The x-factor in all of this is the electrifying Kelvin Keyes who the Beavers will find as many ways as they can to get the ball into his hands and as often as possible.
The strength of this Beavercreek squad will be its defense. They held six of their final nine opponents to 19 points or less in ‘25. The unit is highlighted by a stupendous secondary led by Jamison Webster and Keyes. Big things are expected out of lineman Rhett Lingerfelter and linebacker Colin Hunter after breakout junior campaigns.
Even though the Beavers had that big late season win over Wayne the team still lost four of its final five affairs last fall. If Beavercreek wants to make it back to the playoffs for the second time in three years and third time in school history it will need to finish strong down the stretch.
