Here’s all you need to know about Winton Wood, the Warriors haven’t had a losing season in 24 years and the program just continues to grow stronger. Since 2009 the school has won four regional titles, been a state runner-up once, a state champion two times and averaged 10 wins per year (152-50; .742 winning %). Maintaining that success shouldn’t be a problem for the 2026 squad that is loaded with talent.
This team has plenty to prove and scores to settle. Last year the Warriors lost three games by 10 total points (by one, two and seven-points) that’s how close to perfection they were. The senior class has never beaten Anderson going 0-3 while allowing 29.3 points per loss to the Raptors. To put that in perspective, over that same three-year span Winton Woods’ has only allowed 8.3 points per contest in their other 33 games.
Division I, Region 4 is wide open. Every contender – St. Xavier, Elder, Moeller, Lakota West, Princeton, Middletown and Lakota East have questions. Winton Woods may have the fewest of all those squads. The Warriors are a legit threat to bring home the regional crown.
