GOSHEN, oh – The quest for an undefeated regular season and an outright conference championship came to an end for Goshen as visiting Wilmington shocked the Warriors. Five turnovers doomed Goshen’s bid for perfection in 2026. The Cane have now won two in a row for the first time this season.
The win by Wilmington leaves a muddled mess atop the SBAAC American. The Cane, Goshen and New Richmond are all sitting at 3-1 in league play heading into the final week of the season. New Richmond and Wilmington will face off next week for a share of the conference championship.
The victory also secured the eighth playoff appearance in school history for Wilmington and fourth trip to the postseason in the last five years. Goshen had already clinched its ninth playoff appearance and first time that the school has made back-to-back trips to the postseason. Both schools will play in the Division III, Region 12 tournaments.
