The 2017 season is starting to read like a good book and we are getting into the juicy part of it. Unlike binge watching or reading only one chapter can be played out each week in this tale. Just thinking about what lies ahead this weekend already leaves one on the edge of their seat and eager to see what is to come.

Here is a look at how things are shaping up after Week 4:

RANKINGS – OHIO DI
The biggest statement made last weekend wasn’t by a team in our rankings. The performance by Lakewood St. Edward in their manhandling of then No. 2 Elder let Region 4 know there is a serious threat to a state title up north.  Newcomer No. 10 Fairmont is off to its best start since getting out of the gate at 7-1 in 2008.  It was also the only time the Firebirds have ever made the playoffs. This week’s marquee matchup has No.1 St. Xavier dropping in on No. 5 Moeller. It’s the only tilt between Top 10 teams. The last four games in this series have been settled by seven points or fewer…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DII-DIII
The top seven teams all remain the same this week. The slate is loaded with postseason caliber contests highlighted by No. 1 La Salle hosting No. 3 Winton Woods. Up north, No. 3 Franklin travels to Division IV-VII Valley View. Newcomer No. 10 Edgewood will entertain No. 9 Harrison in a SWOC showdown. In GCL North battle No.6 Alter will be at No. 6 Division IV-VII Fenwick. The rankings could look very different after two weeks of solid stability…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DIV-DVII
The bottom seven teams shuffled but no one drops out the poll this week. Everyone continues to beat up on each other. Opportunities to pick up Level I Harbin points are out there as five of our ranked teams play teams from larger divisions in Week 5…COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – NKY
There was some movement in the rankings but no one dropped out. Two teams are on a bye this week, No. 3 Ryle and No. 5 Campbell County. Two teams who are skating on thin ice are No.7 Conner and No. 8 Highlands. The pair could drop out of the polls if they lose their games against ranked opponents…COMPLETE RANKINGS
