Indian Hill routs rival Madeira

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Less than halfway through the first quarter, Indian Hill built a 21-0 lead over CHL rival Madeira and never looked back in a 52-7 romp. The Braves ended the contest with 546 yards of total offense. They have now
outscored their opponents by a combined 94-7 to start the season.

Senior Charlie Sumerel had three of Indian Hill’s six rushing touchdowns. He had 84 yards on the ground (six carries). The Braves finished the night with 288 yards rushing. Junior Antwan Peek Jr. paced the team with a career-high 128 yards.

Indian Hill amassed another 258 yards through the air. Quarterback Ty Thornton went 9-11 for 192 yards. Senior Luke Hammond caught eight of those balls for 177 yards. Hammond also had a 66-yard completion to Mateo Lopez.

The Braves defense was just as stellar holding the Mustangs to just 119 yards of total offense. They also had three interceptions including a 22-yard pick six by Zack Osterhues.
