TSF 2020 Dayton OPOY: Markus Allen

Markus Allen was a threat to score every time he touched the ball. In eight games, Allen had 60 receptions for 884 yards with 14 touchdown catches and 1,456 all-purpose yards as a senior. His efforts earned him the 2020 TriState Football Dayton Offensive Player of the Year. Allen also garnered 2020 OPSWA Division I First Team All-Ohio, GWOC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-TSF honors while helping the Thunderbolts to their first undefeated season in four decades.
In two years at Northmont, Thunderbolts quarterbacks threw 63 touchdown passes, Allen was on the receiving end of 29 of them. He finished with 111 receptions for 1,971 yards and 29 touchdowns at the school.
Allen will has signed with Wisconsin. He will join 2017 TSF Cincinnati OPOY, QB Chase Wolfe (St. Xavier) on the Badgers roster.
Other finalists included seniors Titan Case (Springboro), Ca’Ron Coleman (Piqua), Branden McDonald (Alter), Cade Rice (Northmont), juniors Kenyon Owens (Chaminade Julienne), Te’Sean Smoot (Springfield) and Carson Vanhoose (Clinton-Massie).
TriStateFootball.com was founded in 2005 and started its Dayton postseason awards in 2009. Allen becomes the first Northmont player to ever be named the TSF Dayton Offensive Player of the Year.
