No one took more advantage of stepping into the limelight (in all phases of the game) last fall than Lawrenceburg (10-2) senior Isaiah Williams who was named the 2025 TriState Football Indiana Offensive Player of the Year as TSF paid tribute to the area’s finest from Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Southeast Indiana at the TriState Football Year in Review Show on Monday night, in front of a packed house at the Holy Grail in downtown Cincinnati.
Williams came into the 2025 campaign with a relatively non-descript career as an underclassmen having been in on just eight tackles on defense and just 315 yards and three touchdowns rushing on offense in three three varsity campaigns. Things were going well for Williams last season and then Week 8 came along and he exploded. In that game versus Connersville, Williams ran for 228 yards and four touchdowns. It was the first of four straight games in which he would run for at least 200 yards to go along with 14 rushing touchdowns (three games with four TDs), in that span. He would finish the season with 1,391 yards rushing, a 10.1 yard average per carry, nine receptions for 122 yards, three touchdown catches and 2,084 all-purpose yards helping Lawrenceburg to its fifth straight sectional title and 24 in school history.
Offense wasn’t the only place that Williams was wreaking havoc. On special teams, he amassed 519 return yards, averaged 32.5 yards on eight kickoff returns, 17.3 yards on 15 punt returns with one kickoff return and two punt returns for touchdowns. Six times in Lawrenceburg’s last nine games he had at least 213 all-purpose yards. On defense, Williams recorded 26 tackles and had an EIAC best six interceptions.
Williams was named All-EIAC Legends and Third Team All-TSF (ATH) for his efforts. This is the 16th year of this award and Williams becomes the eighth Tiger to be named TSF Indiana Offensive Player of the Year.
