2025 Video Snapshot: Madeira

Attention to details and doing all the little things will be the focus of Madeira in 2025. The Mustangs feel like they can do much better than finishing 6-6 and advancing to the second round of the playoffs like they did a year ago.

Division V, Region 20
2024 RECORD: 6-6, 3-4 CHL
COACH: Chris Stewart (47-32 at Wyoming, seven years; 47-32 overall)

HONOR ROLL
Braeden Wallace, Sr, QB – Set the single season school records with 2,515 yards passing and 201 completions in 2024. Wallace’s 23 touchdown passes and 65% completion rate were second most in a season in school history. He was named OPSMA Division V Second Team All-Southwest District for his efforts.

Robbie Lewis, Sr, RB/LB – Is in the top 5 in school history for tackles. Lewis will also play running back this fall. A Second Team All-CHL selection in 2024, Lewis has 189 tackles, 3.0 sacks, 17.5 tackles for losses, two forced fumbles, 790 yards rushing and five touchdowns in his career.

OTHER RETURNEES
Harrison Wooline, Sr, OL/DL – The anchor of the offensive and defensive lines. Wooline played through a torn UCL and still managed to record 62 tackles and 3.5 sacks as a junior.

Aiden Audtrech, Sr, OL/LB – Will split time between linebacker and d-line. Audtrech has 78 tackles, 3.0 sacks, 4.0 tackles for losses, one forced fumble, six pass breakups and one interception in his career.

Joining Wooline and Audtrech in the trenches on offense are juniors OL Noah Jones, OL Dom Beinke and sophomore OL Vaughn LeBorgne.

Rex Koch, Jr, DL – Was rock solid in his first year as a starter. Koch recorded 57 tackles, 4.0 tackles for losses and two fumble recoveries as a sophomore

Cooper Blackburn, Jr, TE/LB – A versatile player who has all-state potential. Blackburn stars at Linebacker and has seen time at quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end on offense. He heads into his junior campaign with 116 tackles, 5.0 tackles for losses and two fumble recoveries in a Mustangs uniform.

Sam Redlinger, Jr, WR/DB – Will be a three-year starter who already has 85 tackles, two forced fumbles, 12 pass breakups and four takeaways (two FRs, two INTs) in his career. Redlinger showed flashes of his offensive abilities with a touchdown reception against Mariemont as a sophomore.

Grayson Smith, Sr, DB – Came on as a starter the second half of last season. Smith had a game clinching interception against Finneytown and a key pick in the playoff win against Williamsburg.

Hayden Koch, Sr, DB – Teams with Smith and Redlinger to give the Mustangs a formidable veteran secondary. Koch tallied 40 tackles, 4.0 tackles for losses and three interceptions last fall.

NEWCOMERS
Seniors RB Andrew Roy, DB Blake Opichka, TE Ayden Fields, DL Jack Gugino along with junior WR Joe Bishop are expected to fill voids left by graduation. Over a three game period last fall, Roy ran for 80 yards and scored his first varsity touchdown against Mariemont. Fields has a tremendous upside.
