Aydin Sistrunk of Miami Valley Christian Academy has been voted the Week 2 Mella Window & Carpet Cleaning Player of the Week, earning 34.07 percent of the vote in fan voting at TriStateFootball.com.
Sistrunk delivered a monster performance to earn his spot on the Week 2 ballot. The MVCA senior rushed for 242 yards and three touchdowns on just 16 carries, averaging more than 15 yards per attempt as the Lions roared past Clermont Northeastern, 49-28.
Sistrunk emerged from a competitive field, edging Milford’s Aiden Wehrun and Goshen’s Caden Slusher for the weekly honor. In all, 14 players were nominated and 2,947 votes were cast by fans across the Tri-State.
Sistrunk joins the growing list of standout performers who will be honored at the TriStateFootball.com Year in Review Show in February, where all of this season’s weekly winners will be recognized and presented with their awards. Additional details on the event will be announced later this season.
