Troy has announced that Matt Burgbacher will be named its new head football coach pending school board approval on Wednesday. The Trojans had gone a combined 8-22 the last three years under former alum, Scot Brewer.
Burgbacher has spent the last six seasons at Fort Loramie where he compiled a 51-18 record while leading the Redskins to the playoffs in each of those years. His father Charlie is the long time coach at Tippecanoe where Matt played and started his coaching career.
