Player Spotlight: Cam Patterson

He will go down as one of the most prolific pass catchers in Scott history. Cam Patterson has been burning opposing defenses for the past two years. He is just one of three returning players, south of the Ohio river, that have been named NKFCA All-NKY two times.

Patterson is a big target at 6-foot-5 and 200-pounds. He heads into his senior campaign with 82 receptions for 1,329 yards and 21 touchdown catches, in his career. Patterson finished 2020 with in a fury, catching 29 balls (7.25 rec/game) for 515 yards (128.75/ yards/game) and seven touchdown receptions in the Eagles last four contests. He has four games of more than 100 yards receiving and seven tilts with at least five receptions in his last 19 starts.

As a junior, Patterson had 11 touchdown receptions. If he does that again this fall, Patterson will finish in the top 40 all-time in career touchdown receptions in Kentucky history.

It’s hard to believe that Patterson isn’t drawing more interest from colleges. His only offer is from Lawrence Tech. Expect all of that to change as Scott gets into its early season schedule. Some school is eventually going to land Patterson, whose best days are still ahead.
