2022 Snapshot: East Clinton
- Updated: March 14, 2022
They are trending up at East Clinton. The Astros finished the 2021 regular season at .500 for the first time in nine years and they made the playoffs. The program continues to make progress under Steve Olds who enters his fourth season as the head coach of his alma mater. Expect more of the same this fall.
“ We are excited about the 2022 version of the Astros. The offseason is going well and our numbers are up from last year. We look forward to and are working on taking another step forward,” Olds states.
He goes on to say, “we will be a young team in terms of age but not experience. We will have more depth and varsity ready players this year than in any of my previous three seasons. We will only have three seniors on the roster but 13 lettermen returning.”
Getting off to a great start like they did a year ago going 3-0 against teams they should have beaten and did will give East Clinton the confidence it needs to make this another successful season.
