2026 Schedule Sneak Peek: Withrow

Even though Withrow will play six teams that finished 2025 above .500 there isn’t a game on the schedule that isn’t winnable. The Tigers will face teams that went a combined 59-53 (.527 winning %), a year ago.

That’s quite a change from the teams that Withrow faced during the regular season last fall. Those schools finished ‘25 a combined 38-68 (.358 winning %). The Tigers were victorious in eight of those battles by an average of 42.1 points per game (45.2 to 3.1) while holding seven victims to less than seven points with six shutouts. Hughes was the only one of those foes to finish the year with a winning record. In contrast, Withrow only averaged 10.7 points per game in their three losses (including to Anderson in the playoffs) and had an average margin of defeat of 23.7 points.

This year’s slate offers far more challenges. How Withrow responds to upper tier competition will be a great story to follow. It’s going to tell us a lot about the Tigers character and heart.

FINAL TAKE: Options, depth and athleticism that’s what Withrow is all about. Coach Berry has the luxury of having a wealth of interchangeable pieces. The Tigers have so many players that can line up and thrive in multiple spots on the field, especially on defense.

Withrow will be the more athletic team on the field every Friday night they go out. They should be a dominant force on defense and explosive on offense. The Tigers are legit and quite capable of earning one of the four coveted first round byes in the very difficult Region 8 playoffs.
