Coming off its best season in the 21st century, Lloyd Memorial is now on a quest to be even better this fall and bring home the school’s first state championship in 50 years. The Juggernauts finished the 2025 regular season undefeated, Class 3A regional champions and an appearance in the state final four. With eight starters back on both sides of the ball this squad is primed for another monster campaign.
Three times in the last four years Lloyd Memorial has amassed double-digit victories (they won nine games in 2024). The Juggernauts have also found themselves in the state semifinals twice in that same span. The seniors are a combined 32-6 in their careers.
Lloyd Memorial averaged 40.0 points per game, had 75 offensive touchdowns (39 rush, 36 rec), amassed 4,575 yards of offense (2,496 pass, 2,079 rush) and averaged 326.8 yards of offense per contest a year ago. Returnees Lincoln Tomlinson (18), Colten Barger (16) and Avery Conrad (15) combined for 49 of the team’s 75 offensive touchdowns. Barger averaged 22.9 yards on 47 receptions for 1,078 yards (a school record) and 15 scores.
One of the biggest spots to fill will be at quarterback with the loss of Kaleb Evans to graduation. Sophomore Ka’Mare McClendon will get his shot at filling those big shoes. Good news for McClendon is that he will have senior studs Brandon Carter, Aiden Dolan and Stone Eickhoff protecting him up front.
Tomlinson spearheads a Juggernauts defense that allowed just 14.2 points per contest and held six foes to seven points or fewer in ‘25. He led the team with 149 tackles and 16.0 tackles for losses. Classmate Demareon Peterson had a team high 6.0 sacks. The unit also created 26 turnovers (13 INTs, 13 FRs).
As you can see, there is plenty to like about this battle tested team. We expect another deep playoff run from Lloyd Memorial in 2026.
