Schedule Sneak Peek: Alter

They are a team without a home. Alter will play in eight different stadiums this season. The Knights be stronger and tougher for it when the playoffs begin.

Alter will only play four teams that had winning records in 2020. That includes hosting reigning Division II state champions, Akron Hoban. The combined 2020 record of the opponents on the Knights schedule was 44-37 (.543 winning %). If they can get by Hoban and Badin it is very feasible that Alter finishes the slate 10-0.

FINAL TAKE: The Knights are loaded with big-time talent on defense which will carry them on many Friday nights. The offense lost a large part of its backfield production. It may take a few games to find their rhythm on this side of the ball.

Expect Alter to make the playoffs for the 20th straight season. They should also host a first-round game in Division III, Region 12 (also known as the GCL Co-eds Invitational). We don’t see eight teams in the region finishing with a better record.

The Knights will play with plenty of motivation after losing the GCL Co-eds crown to Badin, a year ago. The seniors would also like to be the ones to bring the Division III title back to Kettering for the first time since 2009. Alter has the talent and is a legitimate contender, to get that done.
