Little Miami Stuns Edgewood, First Playoff Win Since 1992

The magical season for Little Miami continues as they upset Edgewood, 10-7, in the first round of the Division II, Region 8 playoffs.

These two teams played just two weeks ago with Edgewood shutting out Little Miami, 20-0. In that game Little Miami was held to only 96 offensive yards so they were able to capitalize in the rematch.

Little Miami kicker Alex Hobbs hit a field goal with a minute and 45 seconds left to take the lead and eventual win over the Cougars.

Edgewood was ahead for three quarters until Little Miami scored all 10 points in the final quarter. The first score for Little Miami came with just over seven minutes left.

It took Edgewood until the end of the first half to get the Cougars on the scoreboard when Wade Phillips scored on a 20-yard run.

The loss for Edgewood snaps a three-game win streak and ends first trip to playoffs since 2016 when they lost to La Salle in the first round. Little Miami picks up its first postseason win since 1992, the only other time that the panthers went to the playoffs.
