TSF Rankings Update: Week 9

If ever there was a year to sneak into the playoffs in Ohio, 2018 would be it. The last three Friday’s on the slate are filled with games pitting teams teetering on the edge of the computer points needed to make it into the postseason. It’s time to see which teams are going to finish with the heart and desperation to send them into playing in November. Here’s what’s in store heading into Week 9 of the season:

RANKINGS – OHIO DI
Strengthening their positions at the top of the poll, #1 Colerain and #2 Moeller came up with big wins last Friday. The top-ranked Cardinals are outscoring their foes by 31.1 points per contests. No time for Big Moe to admire its work after beating #3 Elder and sweep through the GCL South on its way to the league title. The Crusaders have a killer schedule left, on the road at St. Ignatius, then host St. Edward and Division II-III #2 Winton Woods to close out the season. Elder hosts Winton Woods in this weekend’s most intriguing matchup. The Panthers have dropped three of their last four after starting the year 3-0.… COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DII-DIII
All eyes are on the ECC on Friday night. Two games will impact the computer in Regions 4 and Region 8 as #5 Kings hosts Division I Milford (6-1) and #9 Anderson entertains Turpin (5-2). The last two weeks of the season will turn its attention to some crucial matchups in the SWOC.… COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – OHIO DIV-DVII
There are several teams on unstable ground at the bottom of the rankings. The top seven in the poll are rock solid. Beyond that, no one has shown they can separate themselves and step into the small school’s upper echelon.…. COMPLETE RANKINGS

RANKINGS – NKY
The day has come #1 Covington Catholic travels to #2 Highlands for what will be the best regular season game in northern Kentucky this fall.  The Colonels have won 22 games in a row. The Bluebirds would love nothing more than to break that streak in front of its home fans. The #5 Campbell County defense get a chance to prove it is for real as they welcome #4 Simon Kenton who lights the scoreboard up at 33.4 points per game. The Camels are allowing 13.6 points per contests …. COMPLETE RANKINGS
