TSF Announces Its 2022 POY Finalists

Another outstanding season of high school football has come and gone. There were some jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring individual and team performances in 2022. Here is a look at the TriState Football 2022 Player of the Year finalists and squads that had memorable campaigns this past fall.

The members of the All-TSF Teams, the TSF Teams of the Year, Players of the Year and finalists from Indiana, Dayton, Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati as well as the Mella Windows Players of the Week will be recognized at the TriState Football Year In Review Awards Show on Monday, February 20th, 2023 at the Holy Grail-Banks – RSVP 2022 TSF Year In Review Show

2022 TRISTATE FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR FINALISTS
CINCINNATI
Offense: Mitch Bolden (Lakota West), Trey Cornist (Winton Woods), Talon Fisher (Fairfield), CJ Hester (Wyoming), Will Kocher (Kings), Jordan Marshall (Moeller), Michael Mussari (Kings), Drew Novak (Western Brown) and Griffin Scalf (Anderson).

Defense: Tayshawn Banks (Taft), Joe Ginnetti (Moeller), Malik Hartford (Lakota West), Breeon Ishmail (Princeton), Brandon Martin (Moeller), Jermaine Matthews Jr. (Winton Woods), Michael Mulvihill (Blanchester), Elias Rudolph (Taft) and Jacob Smith (Milford).

DAYTON
Offense: Anthony Brown (Springfield), Nic Bruder (Centerville), Jacob Clark (Valley View), RJ Mukes III (Wayne), Liam Poronsky (Tippecanoe), Evan Ruzzo (Springboro), Trei’Shaun Sanders (Xenia), Bryce Schondelmyer (Springfield) and Brock Short (Greenville).

Defense: Gavin DeGroat (Valley View), Javon Hammonds Jr. (Wayne), Joseph Jean-Louis (Centerville), Cael Liette (Tippecanoe), Jackson Martin (Badin), Braedyn Moore (Badin), Jaivian Norman (Springfield) and Jamell Smith (Xenia).

KENTUCKY
Offense: Mitch Berger (Beechwood), Chase Crone (Simon Kenton), Owen Leen (Covington Catholic), Charlie Noon (Highlands), Jaxson Rice (Ludlow), Zayn Satchwell (Carroll County) and Demetrick Welch (Newport Central Catholic).

Defense: Austin Alexander (Cooper), Xavier Campbell (Beechwood), Adam Dunn (Highlands), Aiden Jones (Covington Catholic), Byron May (Rowan County), Brach Rice (Dixie Heights) and Luke Runyon (Newport Central Catholic).

INDIANA
