Princeton finished an undefeated regular season, another big battle in the GMC decided playoff seeding, and some Panthers from Price Hill won a longstanding rivalry in our Cincinnati round-up.

NO. 1 PRINCETON 42, NO. 19 SYCAMORE 7
The Princeton Vikings led from start to finish as they dominated Sycamore on Friday night. The Vikings clinched the GMC title outright and capped off a 10-0 season for the first time in over 30 years.

Princeton led 28-0 at the half and never looked back as they meant business and really wanted the league title outright. The high octane Vikings kept the home crowd buzzing with a plethora of long scores, making the defense miss with great moves.

Quarterback DeAngelo Birch tossed two touchdown passes to Daelyn Jarman in the win.

NO. 3 LAKOTA WEST 42, NO. 14 HAMILTON 14
Lakota West used a stingy defense and efficient offense to beat Hamilton on Friday night. The Firebirds broke open a 7-7 halftime tie and scored 35 consecutive points to dominate the road game.

Sam Wiles led the offensive charge as he was 6-12 for 106 yards and a score. He also rushed 10 times for 50 yards and another score. Braydon Johnson rushed 22 times for 74 yards and three scores to lead the attack on the ground.

In the end it was the Firebirds’ defensive effort that put the game out of reach. They held Hamilton to only 54 yards on the ground and had three INTS. Lakota West outgained Hamilton 242-189 and look to be in prime position for a top four seed in the playoffs.

NO. 7 ELDER 29, NO. 17 LA SALLE 23
The Elder Panthers scored with 18 seconds left to lift themselves to a thrilling win over rival La Salle on Friday night. The victory sends the Panthers into the playoffs with some momentum as they are a dangerous team in division I.

Quarterback Ryan Brass led the charge for Elder. The senior rushed 33 times for 179 yards and 4 TDs. The Panthers’ rushing attack was in a great place all night. Brass also passed for 140 yards through the air.

This game was about as close as it could be all the way around. As the two rivals went back and forth all night all the way until the final moments. La Salle’s Pat McLaughlin was a highlight for the Lancers. He was 16-22, 134 yards and a TD through the air and rushed 11 times for 72 yards and another score in a losing effort. Cohen Krieder had 82 yards rushing and a score for the Lancers as well.
